Governance

The Governance page is the workspace-wide analytics dashboard. Use it to see how MainBranch is being used and where to focus your rollout.

Overview cards

At the top:

Queries — Number of AI requests in the selected period, with delta vs. the previous period.
Active users — Unique members who ran at least one query.
Sessions — Number of chat or tool sessions.
Total minutes saved — Estimate of time saved by AI assistance.
Total tokens — Cumulative AI compute usage.

Each card shows the trend direction (up/down) compared to the previous period.

Trends

A time-series chart with selectable series:

Queries per day.
Active users per day.
Sessions per day.
Cumulative time saved.

Hover for exact numbers. The chart adapts to your selected date range.

Breakdown

Leaderboard

Top 10 users by query count for the selected period (filtered by department if you've picked one). Columns: Name, Department, Queries, Sessions, Total Minutes Saved.

Only users with three or more sessions appear on the leaderboard to keep low-activity noise out.

Usage by model

Pie chart showing which AI models generate the most queries. Useful for understanding cost distribution and whether members are sticking to your default.

Usage by feature

Pie chart showing which surfaces (chat, files, presentations, smart forms, etc.) generate the most queries. Useful for understanding which parts of the product your team is actually using.

Filters

Department — Drill down to a single department. Pulls from your member directory.
Date range — Pick start and end dates. Defaults to the last 30 days.

All overview, trend, and breakdown values respect the active filters.
