MainBranch

Meeting Details

Player, transcript, summary, action items, key topics, suggested questions, and meeting chat.

A meeting page collects everything MainBranch knows about a single meeting. This is what you'll see after a meeting has been processed.

The header

At the top of the page:

  • Title — Pulled from your calendar (or what you typed for an uploaded recording).
  • Date and time — Shown as a friendly range.
  • Participants — Avatars and names of attendees, when MainBranch has them.
  • Share — Opens the share dialog. See Sharing Meetings.

The player

Video meetings

A standard video player with play, pause, seek, and volume. The player fills the media area in a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Audio meetings (and uploaded audio)

A custom waveform player. While the audio plays you see the waveform animate to reflect the audio level. Controls include:

  • Play / pause
  • Seek bar (click anywhere on the waveform to jump)
  • Current time / total time
  • Playback speed — 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, or 2×.

Transcript

The full transcript is shown below the player, segment by segment.

  • Each segment is attributed to a speaker.
  • Each segment has a clickable timestamp — click to jump playback to that point.
  • Use the search box above the transcript to find a phrase. Matches are highlighted with a count and navigation arrows.
  • Use the copy button to copy the full transcript as plain text.

Summary

An AI-generated summary lives in its own section, organized into headings and bullets. From the summary actions you can:

  • Copy the summary to your clipboard.
  • Read aloud with your browser's text-to-speech.
  • Give feedback with thumbs up or down. Dislike feedback can flag specific issues (incorrect summary, missing detail, wrong speaker, etc.).

Action items

If MainBranch detected commitments or next steps, it lists them with the assignee — the participant who took on the action — and a short description. You can edit your own action items inline.

Key topics

A row of pill tags showing the main themes from the meeting (e.g., Q4 Planning, Bug fixes, Pricing). Useful for skimming what was discussed.

Suggested questions

Four AI-generated follow-up questions appear near the bottom — things you might want to know about the meeting. Click any of them to open it as a fresh chat with the meeting as context.

Meeting chat

A built-in chat box lets you ask anything about the meeting. The assistant has the full transcript and summary as context. You can ask "Who said the pricing should go up?", "What did we agree about the launch date?", "List all open questions."

The chat is grounded — it answers from the transcript, with citations where appropriate. You can have long, multi-turn follow-ups.

Read aloud

If you don't want to read, every summary and answer can be read aloud via your browser. Click the speaker icon to start, click again to stop.

Deleting a meeting

From the meeting page, open the menu () and choose Delete. This permanently removes the recording, transcript, summary, and chat. Deletes are logged in the audit log.
