Signing In
This guide covers how to sign in to Mainbranch using your organization’s authentication method.
Sign-In Methods
Section titled “Sign-In Methods”Mainbranch supports multiple sign-in methods depending on how your organization has configured the platform:
- Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google Workspace
- Single Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Email and password authentication
Your administrator will inform you which method to use.
Signing In with SSO
Section titled “Signing In with SSO”If your organization uses Single Sign-On, the sign-in process is straightforward:

Navigate to Mainbranch
Open your web browser and go to your organization’s Mainbranch URL.

Select Your Sign-In Method
On the sign-in page, click the appropriate button for your organization’s identity provider:
- Continue with Google for Google Workspace
- Continue with Microsoft for Microsoft 365 / Entra ID

Authenticate
You will be redirected to your identity provider’s sign-in page. Enter your work email and password, and complete any additional authentication steps (such as multi-factor authentication) if required.

Access Mainbranch
After successful authentication, you will be redirected back to Mainbranch and signed in automatically.
Signing In with Email and Password
Section titled “Signing In with Email and Password”If your organization uses email and password authentication:

Navigate to Mainbranch
Open your web browser and go to your organization’s Mainbranch URL.

Enter Your Credentials
Enter the email address associated with your Mainbranch account and your password.

Sign In
Click the Sign In button to access the platform.
First-Time Sign-In
Section titled “First-Time Sign-In”If this is your first time signing in to Mainbranch, you may be prompted to complete some additional setup:
Accept Invitation
Section titled “Accept Invitation”If you received an invitation email, click the link in the email to accept the invitation and join your organization’s workspace.
Complete Your Profile
Section titled “Complete Your Profile”You may be asked to provide additional information such as your department or role. This information helps personalize your Mainbranch experience.
Connect Your Accounts
Section titled “Connect Your Accounts”Depending on your organization’s configuration, you may need to authorize Mainbranch to access your email, calendar, or cloud storage. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete these connections.
Staying Signed In
Section titled “Staying Signed In”Mainbranch keeps you signed in for convenience. Your session will remain active as long as:
- You continue to use the platform regularly
- Your administrator has not revoked your access
- Your organization’s session policies allow it
If you are signed out, simply repeat the sign-in process.
Signing Out
Section titled “Signing Out”To sign out of Mainbranch:
- Click on your profile avatar in the sidebar
- Select Sign out from the dropdown menu
Troubleshooting Sign-In Issues
Section titled “Troubleshooting Sign-In Issues”If you are having trouble signing in:
- Check your credentials: Ensure you are using the correct email address and password
- Clear browser cache: Sometimes cached data can cause issues
- Try a different browser: Browser extensions or settings may interfere with sign-in
- Contact your administrator: If problems persist, your administrator can verify your account status
