Transcription Studio
Transcription Studio converts audio and video recordings into searchable text using advanced speech recognition technology.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Transcription Studio provides:
- High-accuracy speech-to-text conversion
- Support for multiple audio and video formats
- AI-generated summaries
- Timestamped transcripts
- History of all transcriptions
Accessing Transcription Studio
Section titled “Accessing Transcription Studio”Click Transcription Studio in the App Drawer section of the sidebar, or use the Record/Transcribe Quick Action on the Dashboard.
Transcribing Recordings
Section titled “Transcribing Recordings”Uploading a File

Open Transcription Studio
Navigate to Transcription Studio from the sidebar.

Upload Your File
Click the upload area or drag and drop your audio or video file. Supported formats include:
- Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, WebM
- Video: MP4, MOV, WebM

Wait for Processing
The file is uploaded and transcribed. Processing time depends on the file length—typically a few minutes for most recordings.

Review the Transcript
Once complete, the full transcript appears with:
- Complete text
- Timestamps (when available)
- AI-generated summary
- Confidence score
Recording Directly
Section titled “Recording Directly”You can also record audio directly in Transcription Studio:

Click Record
Click the record button to start capturing audio from your microphone.

Speak
Record your audio. A timer shows the recording duration.

Stop Recording
Click the stop button when finished.

Transcribe
The recording is automatically processed and transcribed.
Working with Transcripts
Section titled “Working with Transcripts”Reading the Transcript
Section titled “Reading the Transcript”The transcript displays the full text of your recording. For longer transcripts, use the scroll bar or search function to navigate.
Timestamps
Section titled “Timestamps”When available, transcripts include timestamps that help you:
- Navigate to specific parts of the recording
- Reference exact moments in discussions
- Create accurate citations
AI Summary
Section titled “AI Summary”Transcription Studio automatically generates a summary of the recording content. This summary captures:
- Main topics discussed
- Key points and takeaways
- Important names or terms mentioned
Confidence Score
Section titled “Confidence Score”Some transcriptions display a confidence score indicating the reliability of the transcription. Higher scores indicate more accurate results.
Transcription History
Section titled “Transcription History”Transcription Studio maintains a history of all your transcriptions:
Accessing History
Section titled “Accessing History”Your previous transcriptions appear in a list, showing:
- Title (auto-generated or custom)
- Date transcribed
- Duration
Managing History
Section titled “Managing History”Click any previous transcription to:
- View the full transcript
- Play the audio (if available)
- Review the summary
- Delete the transcription
Audio Quality Tips
Section titled “Audio Quality Tips”For best transcription results:
Recording Quality
Section titled “Recording Quality”- Use a good quality microphone
- Minimize background noise
- Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
- Avoid overlapping speech when possible
File Quality
Section titled “File Quality”- Use uncompressed formats when possible (WAV preferred)
- Avoid heavily compressed audio
- Ensure adequate volume levels
- Check that audio is not clipped or distorted
Environment
Section titled “Environment”- Choose a quiet location
- Reduce echo and reverberation
- Turn off notifications and alerts during recording
Supported Languages
Section titled “Supported Languages”Transcription Studio supports multiple languages. The language is automatically detected, or you can specify it manually for better accuracy.

- Review discussions
- Extract action items
- Share with team members who could not attend
Interviews
Section titled “Interviews”Convert interview recordings to text:
- Review candidate responses

Voice Notes
Section titled “Voice Notes”Transcribe voice memos and notes:
- Capture ideas on the go
- Convert spoken notes to written form
- Search through your notes
Lectures and Presentations
Section titled “Lectures and Presentations”Create text versions of educational content:
- Review material
- Create study guides
- Make content accessible
Comparing to Meetings Feature
Section titled “Comparing to Meetings Feature”Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Transcription Taking Too Long
Section titled “Transcription Taking Too Long”- Large files require more processing time
- Check your internet connection
- Try splitting very long recordings into smaller segments
Poor Transcription Quality
Section titled “Poor Transcription Quality”- Check the audio quality of your source file
- Ensure clear speech without excessive background noise
- Verify the correct language is being detected
File Not Supported
Section titled “File Not Supported”- Convert to a supported format (MP3, WAV, MP4)
- Check that the file is not corrupted
- Verify the file size is within limits
Recording Not Working
Section titled “Recording Not Working”- Check browser microphone permissions
- Verify your microphone is connected and working
- Try a different browser if issues persist
