Administrator Guide
This guide is for Mainbranch administrators who manage workspaces, users, and system configuration. It covers everything you need to set up and maintain your organization’s Mainbranch deployment.
Administrator Responsibilities
Section titled “Administrator Responsibilities”As a Mainbranch administrator, you are responsible for:
- Setting up and configuring the workspace
- Managing users and access permissions
- Connecting data sources
- Configuring security settings
- Maintaining the system over time
Getting Started
Section titled “Getting Started”Admin Console Overview
Section titled “Admin Console Overview”The Admin Console is accessible from your profile menu. Select Workspace settings to access administrative functions.
Admin Navigation
Section titled “Admin Navigation”The Admin Console includes these sections:

Key Setup Tasks
Section titled “Key Setup Tasks”Initial Setup
Section titled “Initial Setup”When first setting up Mainbranch for your organization:
- Configure workspace settings — Set your organization name and preferences
- Connect data sources — Link Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other services
- Configure authentication — Set up SSO for secure access
- Invite team members — Add users to the workspace
Ongoing Management
Section titled “Ongoing Management”Regular administrative tasks include:
- Adding and removing users
- Monitoring connected data sources
- Reviewing security settings
- Responding to user support requests
Access Requirements
Section titled “Access Requirements”To access the Admin Console, your account must have:
- Owner role — Full access to all settings
- Admin role — Access to most administrative functions
Regular members cannot access the Admin Console.
